On July 24, the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province said that Khanh Hoa province has developed a plan to organize Khanh Hoa Culture and Tourism Day 2026 in Quang Tri.
The event is themed "Khanh Hoa - Quang Tri: Connecting heritage, reaching out to the blue sea", expected to take place from August 14-18, 2026 in Quang Tri province.
The program aims to promote the image, culture, people and tourism potential of Khanh Hoa; and at the same time strengthen tourism development links, expand the tourist market and contribute to the implementation of the province's tourism growth goals.
The event was also organized to respond to the opening of the Dong Hoi direct flight route, Quang Tri province - Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa province.
Through this, the two localities expect to effectively exploit the advantages of transport connectivity, promote tourist exchange, and strengthen cooperation in the fields of tourism, trade and investment.
This is also an opportunity to introduce cultural values, tourism products, OCOP products and specialties of Khanh Hoa province to people, tourists and the business community of the North Central region.
Within the framework of the program, on August 17, 2026, a signing conference of the Cooperation Program for cultural, sports and tourism development between Khanh Hoa and Quang Tri provinces will take place in Dong Hoi ward.
At the conference, the two provinces are expected to sign a Cooperation Program for cultural, sports and tourism development. The Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centers of the two localities will sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Tourism Association will also sign cooperation agreements with Quang Tri Provincial Tourism Association and a number of tourism associations in the Central region.
On this occasion, the organizers arranged an exhibition space to introduce tourism products, OCOP products and specialties of Khanh Hoa province.
In addition, the Khanh Hoa Art Exchange and Tourism Promotion Program is expected to take place from August 15-17, 2026 in Dong Hoi ward, the expected location is Regal pedestrian street.
The program includes the opening ceremony of Khanh Hoa Culture and Tourism Day in Quang Tri; traditional folk art performances and video screenings introducing the potential and strengths of Khanh Hoa tourism.
Display and promotion spaces for tourism products, OCOP products and local specialties are also organized during the program.
Mr. Hai Thai - from Quang Tri, currently living in Khanh Hoa, believes that organizing Khanh Hoa Culture and Tourism Day in Quang Tri and opening the Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh route will facilitate travel, exchange, and tourism connection between people in the two localities.
This activity also creates motivation for Quang Tri and North Central region tourists to come to Khanh Hoa to visit and relax; and at the same time bring many Khanh Hoa tourists to explore destinations, heritage and tourism products of Quang Tri.
Through the series of activities, Khanh Hoa province expects to strengthen cooperative relations with Quang Tri province in the fields of culture, sports and tourism.
