On December 28, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An said that the New Year 2026 welcoming program will be held at Anh Sang Square, VinWonders Cua Hoi (Cua Lo ward, Nghe An) on the evening of December 31, 2025.
The event includes a large-scale art program and high-altitude fireworks displays, expected to attract a large number of people and tourists to attend the moment of transition to the new year.
According to the Organizing Committee, the program is staged with a large stage, gathering many singers, DJs, rappers, dance troupes and artists of Nghe An Traditional Arts Center. This is a cultural - entertainment activity with a highlight at the end of the year, aimed at creating a vibrant atmosphere and spreading the image of the locality in the integration period.
The countdown ceremony (counting down time to the moment of transition to the new year) is designed in a youthful and modern spirit, combining music with lighting effects and projecting images of Nghe An's development process. Through performances, the program sends a message about the aspiration for breakthrough, innovation and strong integration.
Right after the moment of counting down to 2026, about 15 minutes of high-altitude fireworks will be fired in the Cua Lo area, hoping to create motivation for tourism activities at the beginning of the year and increase the attraction for tourists to Nghe An - North Central Coast.
Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An, said that the organization of the countdown program and high-altitude fireworks display at Cua Lo aims to create cultural and tourism highlights at the end of the year, contributing to promoting the local image, attracting new visitors and increasing communication efficiency for the 2026 tourism season.
