On July 1, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province said that the unit has just issued a document requesting travel service businesses in the area to fully implement regulations on statistical reporting regimes in tourism activities.
According to the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the past time, the unit has issued many documents guiding and urging businesses to implement tourism statistics reports. However, as of June 29, 2026, there are still some businesses that have not sent monthly periodic tourism statistics reports to the department.
According to the Tourism Law, travel service businesses are obliged to implement the reporting and statistical regime according to regulations. In case of not properly implementing the reporting regime to competent state agencies, they may be administratively sanctioned from 1 - 3 million VND.

Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that in the near future, an inspection team will be established to inspect tourism activities in 2026 in the province. The inspection content focuses on the compliance with legal regulations in tourism business activities, including statistical reporting regimes.
According to requirements, businesses must submit monthly reports on the 20th of the month after the reporting month; annual reports must be submitted before February 20 of the following year.
The Department encourages businesses to send and receive reports through the tourism statistics reporting software system managed by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism. In case not sent through the system, businesses can send reports in writing with signatures and seals via email or directly to the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Functional agencies also noted some common errors when businesses enter reports, such as incorrectly recording revenue units, storing reports but not sending them on the system, leading to the department not receiving data.
The Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests travel service businesses to seriously implement regulations, ensuring that tourism statistics are fully and accurately updated, serving state management in the tourism sector.
