According to information on September 24, the People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued a decision to recognize Quynh Doi Village tourist site in Quynh Doi commune, Quynh Luu district.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district to take the responsibility of presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies, organizations and individuals to manage the Quynh Doi Village tourist site to protect, preserve and develop tourism resources.
At the same time, create favorable and safe conditions for tourists to visit; social order and safety, environmental protection, community participation in tourism activities; favorable conditions for traffic participation of means of transporting tourists.
Along with that, issue regulations and rules for managing and exploiting Quynh Doi Village tourist site in accordance with the provisions of the Tourism Law and related documents. Develop explanatory content, promotional and introductory publications to promote the value of the tourist site. At the same time, maintain the assessed criteria.
Nghe An Provincial Department of Tourism guides, inspects, urges and supervises the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district to implement the contents of the above decision and performs the function of state management of tourism for Quynh Doi Village Tourist Site to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of law.
Quynh Doi village is a famous place in Nghe An with a tradition of mandarin examinations. From 1444 to 1725, Quynh Doi had 707 people passing the mandarin examinations from the beginning of the land to the third class, second class, and doctorate.
Among them are many famous people such as Ho Si Duong, Ho Phi Tich, Pham Dinh Toai..., especially the "Queen of Nom poetry" Ho Xuan Huong. This place has 8 national historical and cultural relics and 3 provincial relics.
At the end of 2023, the Vietnam Tourism Association and the Vietnam Sustainable Tourism Company jointly organized the opening of the tour "Wooden fish village - after the halo" in Quynh Doi commune.
After that, the wooden fish symbol appeared in front of the village gate and in many locations in Quynh Doi village.
After public opinion was stirred up and reacted, the leader of Quynh Doi Commune People's Committee declared: "In fact, Quynh Doi is not a wooden fish village and there is no such thing as wooden fish here."
However, until now, the wooden fish symbol is still displayed in front of the gate of Quynh Doi village.
