On April 9, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province said that relevant units are urgently completing the tasks to organize the opening of the 2026 Lang Sen Festival.
The festival is organized on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), expected to take place from May 17 to May 19 in Truong Vinh ward and Kim Lien commune.
According to the plan, the ceremony will include traditional rituals such as offering flowers and incense at Ho Chi Minh Square, Kim Lien Relic Site, Chung Son Temple; the procession of Uncle Ho's photo from the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House to Lang Sen stadium.

The festival part has many rich activities such as sports competitions, Sen culinary space, rural market fairs and unique art programs, creating a vibrant atmosphere, attracting people and tourists.
The highlight of the festival is the art program "From Lang Sen to Ho Chi Minh City" taking place on the evening of May 19th at Ho Chi Minh Square, closing the series of events with emotional performances about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.
Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province Tran Thi My Hanh said that the Lang Sen Festival is a cultural and political event of special significance, not only expressing sincerity and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh but also contributing to educating patriotism and the morality of "drinking water, remembering the source" for generations.
This year's organization was carefully prepared, ensuring solemnity in the ceremonial part, richness and attractiveness in the festival part; and at the same time, focusing on security, order, and environmental sanitation, creating a good impression on people and tourists," Ms. My Hanh informed.
The 2026 Lang Sen Festival is also expected to continue to promote the image of Nghe An homeland, attract tourists, and contribute to promoting local tourism development.
