Ninh Binh - The Department of Tourism has just issued a document recommending measures to ensure the safety of tourists after the death of tourists in Cuc Phuong National Park.

Recently, forest tourism has been chosen by many tourists to experience and explore nature directly. Through popular activities such as: long-distance walking, mountain climbing, cycling, kayaking, cave tours, camping... visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the wild nature and enjoy the fresh air.

According to the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, ensuring the safety of tourists in Ninh Binh province has received regular attention from all levels, sectors and businesses. However, in reality, there are still many potential risks affecting the lives and health of tourists, leading to some accidents when traveling in the forest.

To ensure the safety of tourists when experiencing types of tourism in the forest in tourist areas and destinations with special natural conditions, the Department of Tourism recommends that the People's Committees at the commune level, the Management Boards of tourist areas and destinations, and tourism service establishments in the province pay attention to coordinating, strengthening propaganda work, raising awareness for tourists; diversifying forms of propaganda so that people and tourists can easily access and clearly understand the risks and preventive measures when traveling in the forest.

The Management Board of Eco-tourism Zones and Sites needs to strengthen recommendations, placing warning signs, instructions, and setting up directional markers, while coordinating with forest rangers and security forces to strictly control illegal trekking activities.

Coordinate the development and implementation of rescue plans, prepare means to be ready to serve the search, rescue and rescue missions of tourists in all situations.

In addition, travel agencies will train and send tour guides to guide the group with experience, understanding the terrain, and rescue skills to join the group; tour guides need to disseminate the necessary rules, routes, and equipment when organizing tours.

Tourists need to strictly follow recommendations and safety instructions, prepare health and equipment appropriately before participating in forest activities such as: always going in groups, absolutely not going in groups or alone; neat clothes, suitable mountain climbing shoes, bringing raincoats, insect repellent; prepare enough drinking water, some basic medical supplies, necessary snacks.

At the same time, maintain regular contact with tour guides/groups, follow concentrated signals; do not harm natural landscapes, do not touch strange plants and animals; immediately notify tour guides or management boards if you feel tired, lost or have problems. Absolutely do not arbitrarily trekking or going deep into the forest without the guidance of authorities or tour guides.
