Present at Bai Dinh Pagoda (Gia Sinh Commune, Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh Province), according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, since the early morning of May 21, thousands of people and Buddhists have been present here to wait to worship the benefactor of Buddha Shakyamuni.

Despite the hot weather, many people still wait to see and worship the Buddha with their own eyes. At around 12 noon, despite the hot weather, people still flocked to Bai Dinh Pagoda lining up in the sun to worship the Buddha.

A representative of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province said that continuing the sacred journey in Vietnam, the performances of the Buddha will be honored at Bai Dinh Pagoda from 8:00 a.m. on May 21 to 10:00 a.m. on May 22.
This is the fifth stop in the journey to honor and benefit Buddha Shakyamuni in Vietnam, after Thanh Tam Pagoda (HCMC), Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh), Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi) and Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam).

The fact that Bai Dinh Pagoda - the most famous pagoda in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, was chosen as the next point to honor the Buddha's merits is not only suitable in spirituality, space and architecture, but also shows the desire to spread the spiritual and cultural values of Buddhism widely in the community.

Previously, the Indian Embassy in Vietnam announced that the Indian Government agreed to extend the time for displaying Buddha's benefits in Vietnam until after May 21.

The extension and addition of honorific points such as Bai Dinh Pagoda shows the great efforts of the two governments of Vietnam - India and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in creating conditions for people to access and enjoy the festival - a sacred symbol associated with faith, peace and enlightenment in Buddhism.
