On the afternoon of August 19, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the leader of Cuc Phuong Commune, Ninh Binh Province, said that after many days of searching, the authorities found the body of a male tourist who had been missing for many days in the garden.
As Lao Dong reported earlier, the lost tourist was identified as Nguyen Quoc Manh (33 years old, residing in Hai Phong). During the garden visit, Mr. Manh lost contact and was confirmed missing.
Initial information, before that, on the afternoon of August 13, Mr. Manh went to the Bong area, the most remote tourist destination from the garden gate with a distance of 20km and went sightseeing alone.
Here, Mr. Manh rented a room and stayed overnight. On the morning of August 14, Mr. Manh went sightseeing alone along the gourd tree route, the main sightseeing route in this area. On the tour route, Mr. Manh left a balo at Son Cung Cave entrance. On the same afternoon, visitors discovered Mr. Manh's backpack, personal documents and phone, so they reported it to the forest rangers.
After nearly 6 days of searching, the authorities discovered Mr. Manh's body. The area where the victim died did not have a phone signal, and during the rescue process, the search force had to contact each other by phone. Many areas also do not have waves to inform.
Currently, the authorities are investigating the cause of Mr. Nguyen Quoc Manh's death in the forest.
