In this year's World Travel Awards (WTA) Asia regional voting season, Vietnam appeared in a series of categories for top destinations in the region.
At the national level, Vietnam is nominated in the categories: Leading destination in Asia, Leading sea destination in Asia, Leading heritage destination in Asia, Leading cultural destination in Asia, Leading natural destination in Asia and Leading tourist destination for Asian youth.
Notably, this year, Ta Xua for the first time appeared in the nomination list for the Top Emerging Destination category in Asia. Along with Ninh Binh, these are two representatives of Vietnam competing in this category.

Ta Xua has long been known as an attractive destination for nature lovers and explorers. Located at an altitude of over 2,800 m above sea level, this area is famous for its sea of clouds, trekking routes to conquer mountain peaks and majestic landscapes imbued with the characteristics of the Northwest region.
In recent years, Ta Xua has attracted an increasing number of domestic and foreign tourists, becoming a prominent destination on the experience tourism map of Vietnam.
Besides Ta Xua, Ninh Binh continues to affirm its attractiveness when it is included in the list of leading emerging destinations in the region. With a system of unique natural and cultural heritage and famous scenic spots such as Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Tam Coc - Bich Dong or Hang Mua, this locality is becoming one of the destinations most interested by international tourists in Vietnam.

In addition to the category for emerging destinations, many other Vietnamese destinations are also nominated in important categories. Tam Chuc Tourist Area is the representative of Vietnam in the category of Leading Cultural Destination in Asia. Meanwhile, Ha Long Bay continues to be featured in the category of Leading Tourism Destination in Asia, competing with many famous destinations in the region.
Hanoi appears in many categories, including Top short-term resort destination in Asia and Top city destination in Asia. Hue is nominated in the category of Top cultural city in Asia, alongside big names like Beijing, Delhi, Kyoto or Seoul.
In the Best Destination in Asia category for festivals and events, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang are also included in the nomination list. Phu Quoc is the only representative of Vietnam competing in the Best Luxury Island in Asia category.
Notably, Vietnam accounts for 3 out of 8 nominations in the Top National Park category in Asia with Cat Tien National Park, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and Cuc Phuong National Park. In addition, Dong Van Karst Plateau, Ninh Binh and Yen Tu are also included in the list of nominations for Top Cultural Destinations in Asia.
In the category of Top Natural Destination in Asia, Moc Chau continues to be the representative of Vietnam competing with many famous destinations in the region.
Born in 1993, the World Travel Awards is considered one of the most prestigious awards in the world tourism industry, often likened to the "Oscar of the tourism industry". The award aims to honor destinations, businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to improving service quality and promoting sustainable tourism development globally.
