During the holidays, many famous tourist destinations in Son La such as Moc Chau, Van Ho, Ngoc Chien, Ta Xua, and Pha Din pass recorded a high increase in tourists.
Right from the early morning of April 30 - May 1, crowds from many provinces and cities flocked to visit, hunt for clouds, and experience local culture.
According to records, in Ta Xua commune, tourists gathered in large numbers at points such as " dolphin rocks", "dinosaur backs", wind peak or natural grass hills.

Despite the early morning fog, drizzle and low temperatures, many tourists still patiently wait to hunt for the sea of clouds.
Some tourist attractions have localized congestion due to narrow roads, tourists have to park outside and rent shuttle buses.
Mr. Do Van Xiem - Chairman of Ta Xua Commune People's Committee, said that in the first 2 days of the holiday, the locality is estimated to welcome over 8,000 visitors, an increase of about 20% compared to the same period last year.
We have developed a plan to welcome guests early, mobilized police and militia forces to divert traffic, and ensure security and order. Accommodation establishments are required to publicly list prices, so as not to let overcharging occur," Mr. Xiem said.
At cloud hunting spots, many tourists are present from 4-5 am to wait for the moment the sea of clouds appears. Food services, parking, taxi rental, motorbike taxis operate at full capacity.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Diep Huong (Phu Tho) shared: "I booked a room nearly 1 month in advance, but when going to check-in points, I still had to wait for a taxi for nearly 30 minutes. Although crowded, the atmosphere is very fun and cool, the cloud hunting experience is very memorable".
In Moc Chau plateau, tourist destinations such as Na Ka plum valley, Hang Tau or Bach Long glass bridge also attract a large number of tourists. At this time, many plum gardens are starting to harvest, becoming attractive destinations with the experience of picking plums at the garden.
Mr. Vu Trung Hai - representative of the Ban Moc Farm brand chain, Thao Nguyen ward, said: "We have about 6 hectares of plums, which are in their ripe season. The past two days have welcomed about 4,000 visitors. In addition to sightseeing, visitors can also experience picking plums and camping right in the garden.

In the Pha Din Pass area - the border between Son La and Dien Bien, the number of visitors also increased sharply. Many groups stopped to check-in, participate in highland fairs, enjoy cuisine and folk games at tourist destinations such as Pha Din Top, Pha Din Pass, Binh Thuan green tea hill...
Mr. Bui Ngoc Thang, Director of Pha Din Tourism Cooperative, shared that on May 1st, when the weather was favorable, this area welcomed over 4,000 visitors, mainly tourists from Son La and Dien Bien. Cultural and market activities were organized to enhance the experience for tourists.
