Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong - Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the city's green tourism development roadmap has been started since 2021.
Currently, Da Nang has 33 units certified as green tourism. This is proof of the continuous efforts of the tourism industry in realizing the sustainable development model.
It is expected that in 2026, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to advise the City People's Committee to issue a set of criteria for green tourist accommodation establishments.
To upgrade the experience for tourists, especially the high-quality tourism segment, Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong emphasized three key strategies that Da Nang's tourism industry is implementing.
First, innovate waterway tourism products, focusing on effectively and sustainably exploiting tourism plans in the Son Tra peninsula area. Second, synchronize service quality throughout the area.
Improving skills and service attitude is emphasized to bring the highest satisfaction to customers. Third, strictly control accommodation establishments.
The city will strengthen inspection of minimum conditions for facilities, techniques and services, ensuring that all destinations meet high-class standards when serving tourists.
The highlight in Da Nang's 2026 tourism stimulus campaign is the theme: "Da Nang - Touching the original".
Through this campaign, the city's tourism industry wishes to bring tourists the most authentic and profound experiences through "5 touches": Touching identity, touching originality, touching tranquility, touching taste, touching yourself.
From this message, tourists can enjoy world-class services while still deeply connected with the most original values of nature and local people," Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong shared.
