The world's most prestigious travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler has announced this year's readers' Choice Awards 2025.
This is the 38th year the award has been held and is also considered one of the top prestigious awards in the world tourism industry, with independent reviews from experts and reporters, on strict criteria, and voting from readers around the world.
Phu Quoc is the only representative of Vietnam to appear in the list of "The Most wonderful Islands in the World", with a score of 95.51, up from last year and rising to the top of the list of representatives from Asia.
This score is based on the level of satisfaction with the destination, on many different criteria, from service quality, scenery, beauty of beaches, unique cuisine to hospitality.
The impressive score also took the Pearl Island to 3rd place globally, far surpassing other famous names such as Maldives (92.31 points); Maui of Hawaii (93.35 points); Bali (89.84 points) or Phuket (84.62 points).
This is considered a spectacular achievement of Phu Quoc and also the 4th consecutive year that the Pearl Island has appeared in the rankings, with the score and ranking position increasing remarkably every year. In 2024, Phu Quoc ranked 2nd in Asia, behind Bali.

According to the An Giang Department of Tourism, after 9 months of 2025, the number of international visitors to Phu Quoc has reached over 1.2 million, an increase of 65.8% over the same period and exceeding the annual plan by 2.1%.
Total revenue from tourism in Phu Quoc after 9 months reached about VND 31,100 billion, up 90.1% over the same period and exceeding the annual plan by 32.5%. The tourist market to Phu Quoc is increasingly diverse, according to statistics, the Pearl Island welcomes visitors from 150 countries and territories.
