On July 4, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province opened the Pickleball Tournament "Celebrating the 66th Anniversary of the Founding of Vietnam's Tourism Industry" (July 9, 1960 - July 9, 2026), attracting 200 athletes from agencies, units, localities and businesses in the province to compete.
The tournament is organized to celebrate the success of the Quang Ngai Sea and Island Tourism Festival 2026, and at the same time promote the 66-year tradition of building and developing Vietnam's tourism industry.
This is also a practical activity in response to the campaign "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho", contributing to the development of the sports movement and spreading pickleball in the community.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Bach Thi Man, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province, said that the tournament not only creates a useful playground to improve health, strengthen exchanges between agencies, units and businesses, but also contributes to promoting the image of dynamic and friendly Quang Ngai tourism.
According to the Organizing Committee, all participation fees and sponsorships from businesses and philanthropists will be used to raise funds to support landscape creation, contributing to tourism development in the province.
This year's tournament takes place from July 3 to 5 at SAKE Pickleball court with giao lưu contents for leaders of agencies, departments, branches and armed forces; mixed doubles in the tourism industry; businesses; officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces and guest units.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the pairs of athletes entered the exciting competition, bringing an exciting atmosphere and exciting competitions, contributing to promoting the pickleball movement to develop strongly in Quang Ngai.
