According to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh city, during the holiday from August 29 to September 2, 2026, the total number of tourists in the area reached about 560,000, equal to 160% compared to the same period in 2025.
In which, the number of overnight visitors is estimated at 227,500, equal to 170% compared to the same period. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 1,800 billion VND, equal to 184% compared to the same period last year. Room occupancy rate at 3-5 star hotels reached about 80-85%.
Many tourist areas and attractions recorded high visitor growth. Ha Long Bay welcomed about 44,200 visitors, of which international visitors are estimated at 19,138; Sun World Ha Long Park about 31,000 visitors; Quang Ninh Museum 26,163 visitors; Yen Tu Relic and Scenic Area 20,920 visitors.
Ba Vang Pagoda welcomed about 30,700 visitors; Bach Dang Special National Historical Relic Area 7,780 visitors; Tran Dynasty Relic Area 10,390 visitors and Cai Bau Pagoda about 42,000 visitors.

On August 30 alone, Quang Ninh welcomed about 155,000 visitors, an increase of 15% compared to the same period in 2025; total tourism revenue is estimated at 450 billion VND. Room occupancy rate at 3-5 star hotels reached about 90-95%.
During the holiday, passenger transport on island routes reached 545 trips, transporting 18,300 passengers, an increase of 61% over the same period. Tourist transport on Ha Long Bay reached 1,310 trips, transporting 45,866 passengers, including 19,296 foreign tourists.
During the holiday, functional forces inspected 6,765 vehicles, detected and handled 948 cases of traffic safety violations, and fined 2.65 billion VND. Traffic in the area was maintained smoothly, without prolonged congestion or construction incidents.
