During the holidays lasting from August 29th to the end of September 1st, tourist areas and attractions in Quang Ninh province recorded a high increase in the number of visitors.
On September 1st alone, Quang Ninh welcomed about 113,000 visitors, an increase of 57% compared to the same period last year. Of which, overnight visitors reached about 55,000, an increase of 40%. Room occupancy rate at hotels and resorts from 3-5 stars reached about 80-85%.
During the 4-day holiday, Ha Long Bay welcomed nearly 34,300 visitors, including about 15,700 international visitors. Besides the sightseeing routes on the bay, some coastal experience services also attract tourists.
Tourist attractions, entertainment venues in the area maintain a stable number of visitors. Sun World Ha Long Park welcomed about 26,000 visitors; Quang Ninh Museum welcomed more than 18,900 visitors.
At cultural and spiritual tourist destinations, Cai Bau Pagoda welcomed about 44,400 visitors; Yen Tu Relic and Scenic Area welcomed about 7,800 visitors; Bach Dang Special National Historical Relic Area welcomed about 5,400 visitors and Tran Dynasty Relic Area welcomed about 5,500 visitors.
During the 4 days of National Day holiday September 2nd, Quang Ninh welcomed about 480,000 visitors, with total tourism revenue estimated at 1,500 billion VND.
The average tourism revenue reached about 3.1 million VND/tour, equivalent to the holidays of January 30 - May 1 this year.
