At Mong Cai international border gate, Mong Cai 1 ward, Quang Ninh province, Mr. Vu Van Dien - Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee - attended the program to welcome the first international tourist group entering through the border gate.
Also participating were local leaders, departments, branches and functional forces on duty at the border gate.
A group of 200 tourists from Nanning (China) completed entry procedures into Vietnam through Mong Cai international border gate.
To ensure a quick customs clearance process, functional forces have organized traffic diversion, increased troop numbers in the entry area, and guided tourists to complete procedures conveniently.
It is expected that on the 1st day of Tet, Mong Cai international border gate will welcome about 1,000 visitors entering Vietnam.
On the occasion of the beginning of spring, provincial and local leaders presented flowers, lucky money, and sent New Year greetings to tourists "first footing" in Quang Ninh tourism.
