On February 9, at Trinh Pagoda, Yen Tu ward, Quang Ninh province, a press conference was held to provide information about propaganda and promotion activities of Yen Tu World Cultural Heritage.
The series of activities includes: Yen Tu Spring Festival 2026 Opening Ceremony; "Yen Tu - Source of wisdom" retreat; Special art program; Exhibition on Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhism; OCOP Fair - Regional Food Festival; Experiential activity "Spring Heritage - Nuong Village Tet".
The Yen Tu Spring Festival 2026 opening ceremony takes place on February 26, 2026 (January 10th of the lunar calendar) at Truc Lam Palace, Yen Tu Relic and Scenic Area, Yen Tu ward, Quang Ninh province, with a scale of about 5,000 people.
The program includes traditional rituals such as: procession of palanquins, sounding drums - ringing bells to open the festival, offering incense, praying for national peace and prosperity, and stamping the sacred Yen Tu seal...
The special art program takes place at 8 pm on February 26 at Chua Trinh yard, with a scale of about 10,000 attendees.
The program content recreates the historical, cultural and ideological journey of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect; depicting Yen Tu as a spiritual symbol of the nation and a World Cultural Heritage with outstanding global values.
The art program is oriented to become a typical cultural and tourism product, contributing to innovating methods of propaganda and promotion of heritage; improving communication efficiency, creating strong spillover effects, attracting tourists to Yen Tu and Quang Ninh province during the early spring festival season.
The Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhist Exhibition takes place from February 25 to March 4, 2026 at Khai Tam Zen Mirror, Yen Tu Relic Site.
The exhibition space introduces documents, images, and artifacts about the formation and development of the Truc Lam Zen sect, along with an antique display area of the Tran Dynasty, contributing to clarifying the historical, cultural and ideological values of the Zen sect imbued with Vietnamese identity.
OCOP Fair - Food Festival held from February 25 - April 3 in the Ha Kieu 1 Bus Station area, with over 100 booths displaying OCOP products, agricultural products, handicrafts and typical local cuisine.
The "Yen Tu - source of wisdom" retreat takes place from February 24-26 at Truc Lam Palace, with a scale of about 3,000 Buddhists.
