On May 5, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province said that to overcome the limitation of short-stayed tourists, the tourism industry will strengthen connectivity, improve the quality of linkage between destinations, thereby creating new and attractive experiences.
After the merger, Quang Tri owns a rich tourism resource system, combining nature and cultural - historical heritage. Prominent are Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Son Doong cave, Tu Lan cave system, Tien cave and hundreds of historical relics. The whole province currently has 647 relics with 746 component points, including 5 special national relics.
In addition, community, ecological and island tourism products such as Canh Duong, Cu Nam, Gio An, Chenh Venh, Ta Puong waterfall contribute to diversifying choices for tourists. Traffic infrastructure is increasingly complete, creating favorable connection conditions, forming continuous journeys.
According to representatives of the Provincial Tourism Association, to create unique products, it is necessary to strengthen coordination between travel businesses, accommodation establishments and attractions in tour design and package service development. At the same time, the tourism industry will promote surveys, organize famtrips and attract investment to develop new products.
In the coming time, Quang Tri province's tourism industry will focus on developing 4 key product groups including ecotourism, cave tourism; cultural - historical, spiritual tourism; sea and island tourism, resort tourism; and supporting tourism such as night economy, MICE tourism (conferences, seminars...), community tourism. The effective connection of resource "links" is expected to help attract and retain tourists longer.
