The opening ceremony of the 2nd Muong Ethnic Culture Festival in 2025 was chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the provinces of Hanoi, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Son La and Thanh Hoa.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung, Director of the Department of Ethnic Culture of Vietnam, said that this is an important activity of the event of the Week "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage 2025".
The 2nd Muong Ethnic Culture Festival in 2025 is a highlight, and also an opportunity for Muong ethnic people to gather at the "Common House of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village".
With the participation of artisans, units of Hanoi, Son La, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa and Phu Tho along with many rich and diverse activities, we hope that this activity will bring visitors many attractive and interesting experiences of the Muong ethnic culture, said Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung.
At the opening ceremony, people and tourists from all over the world enjoyed welcoming performances by Muong artists and actors, bringing the echoes of mountains and forests, the rhythm of community life of ethnic groups such as gong performers.
The festival is held to honor and promote the good traditional cultural values of the Muong ethnic group, while raising awareness of preserving and promoting the cultural values of the Vietnamese ethnic group in the period of integration and development.
