On the morning of November 22, at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture - Tourism Village (Dong Mo, Doai Phuong, Hanoi), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a scientific workshop on "Conservation and promotion of traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development".

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung - Director of the Department of Ethnic Culture of Vietnam said that in recent times, cultural work in general and the work of preserving and promoting the preservation of traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in particular have made progress and achieved many certain results.
This shows that the policies, guidelines and policies of the Party and State have been effectively implemented.

The scientific workshop "Conserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" was organized to continue implementing the Party and State's policies and guidelines on cultural work in general and the work of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in particular to achieve higher results.
In the context of integration and globalization, preserving and promoting traditional culture associated with tourism development is both an urgent and long-term requirement.
The workshop is also an opportunity for scientists, managers, artisans and the community to exchange, share experiences, introduce good models and creative ways of connecting culture with tourism, so that each beauty of national culture is not only preserved in the village space, but also strongly spread to domestic and foreign tourists.
At the workshop, opinions focused on clarifying issues on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development, including a number of contents:

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Song Ha (Department of Social Affairs - Vietnam Academy of Social Affairs) said: "Traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities are the factors that make up specific tourism products for ethnic minority and mountainous areas".
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Lo Lo Chai village was recently recognized as "Best Tourist Village in the World 2025" partly thanks to the ethnic minorities here preserving and promoting unique cultural values and nature conservation. Thereby developing sustainable tourism and improving livelihoods for the community.

Dr. Nguyen Anh Cuong - Hanoi University of Culture - shared that cultural entities are the core factor to preserve and promote ethnic culture. Linking tourism with cultural preservation is good, but it is necessary to balance tourism development with preserving traditional national cultural values.

Through the workshop, enthusiastic opinions and speeches and scientific values contributed to perfecting the theoretical and practical basis for the work of preserving and promoting ethnic culture associated with tourism development.
The solutions proposed in the workshop are feasible, humane and sustainable, suitable for the characteristics of the region in the new period.
