The "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week aims to contribute to preserving, promoting and spreading the tradition of great national unity; honoring the rich cultural heritage of Vietnamese ethnic groups; organizing practical and meaningful cultural, sports and tourism exchange activities to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
The "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnam Cultural Heritage" Week aims to affirm the spirit of great national unity as a precious cultural heritage, fostered through thousands of years of history of building and defending the country, demonstrating the sustainable value of the close relationship between ethnic groups in the cause of building, protecting and developing the Fatherland, especially in the current period of industrialization and modernization of the country.
According to Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung - Director of the Department of Ethnic Culture - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, this year's Week is designed with many rich activities imbued with the identity of ethnic groups.
The "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week will have many meaningful activities and events such as: Opening Program, 2nd Muong Ethnic Culture Festival scheduled for November 21, 2025 with the participation of about 1,000 people. The program to promote and introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends at the "Common House" scheduled for November 21, 2025, will show an overview of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, outstanding cultural connectivity achievements of the community of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam at the "Common House" in the work of preserving and promoting traditional ethnic culture to domestic and international tourists, with videos with English subtitles and explanations.
The National Great Unity Festival at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village will take place on November 18, 2025 at the Village III Festival Site, Ethnic Village III Area. Here, introduce the colors of regional ethnic culture at the "Common House" with the space of 3 clusters of villages associated with the highlight cultural colors of 16 communities operating daily; exchange of arts and sports; introduce traditional crafts of ethnic groups with interactive performances by local artisans and tourists.
In addition, there are programs and activities to color the Vinh Long river culture, with cultural and artistic exchanges, space to introduce and practice traditional heritages and crafts; exhibition activities of cuisine and virtual exhibitions with the theme "Vinh Long - crystallization of the past - Creating the future"; space to introduce and promote tourism, cuisine, exhibition of images and display of OCOP products of Vinh Long province.
In addition, from November 21 to 23, at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture - Tourism Village, a regional cultural exchange program will be organized, folk songs, folk dances, and folk games of the Southern ethnic groups (Can Tho and Vinh Long), introducing the art of Dan Co Tu, introducing traditional crafts and traditional arts of the Khmer ethnic group, introducing culture, tourism, local specialties and the cultural space of the tower of the Cham people of Khanh Hoa province, introducing dances and songs on the tower about the cultural colors of the Cham Ba-La-mon ethnic community with folk song and dance art associated with the tower; performing and introducing the art of Bau Truc Pottery - Unrecognized Cultural Heritage by UNESCO...
