On the evening of April 29, at the center of Sa Pa National Tourist Area (Lao Cai), the Sa Pa Summer Festival 2026 officially opened, opening the "Five Seasons Festival" series of Sa Pa ward.
The event took place in the exciting atmosphere of the historic April days, towards the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification and the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Toan - Vice Chairman of Sa Pa Ward People's Committee - said that this year's festival is organized with many diverse and experiential activities such as Fansipan Rose Festival, "Sa Pa - Heritage in the Mist" Week, Sa Pa Brocade Festival, Ban Ho Culture - Tourism Festival with the theme "Then Soul of Mountain Town"...
According to Mr. Toan, the series of activities not only creates attractive tourism products but also contributes to honoring the cultural identity, landscape and people of Sa Pa. Through this, the image of a destination that is both rich in tradition, dynamic and friendly continues to be widely spread.
The highlight of the opening night was the art program "Sa Pa - Land of Love", elaborately staged, combining traditional and modern elements, bringing many emotions to the audience.
In recent years, Sa Pa has continuously made its mark on the international tourism map when it was honored by prestigious organizations and platforms as a fast-growing destination in Asia, and also included in the list of the most beautiful small towns in the world. Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area has also been awarded the title "Top cultural tourist destination in the world" many times.

The growth momentum continues to be maintained with positive results. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, Sa Pa welcomed about 2 million visitors, an increase of more than 15% compared to the same period.
In the coming time, the locality orients tourism development towards green, sustainable and smart, focusing on completing infrastructure, improving service quality, and preserving unique cultural values, aiming to welcome over 12 million visitors by 2030.
