On April 30, at Lach Hoi gate, Cua Lo ward, the Traditional Boat Race took place within the framework of the 2026 Lang Hieu Temple Fishermen's Festival, attracting a large number of people and tourists to watch and cheer.
The tournament has the participation of 4 teams including: Nghi Thuy; Trung Thanh - Lam Thanh confederation; Hai Giang 1 - Hai Giang 2 confederation; and Binh Quang - Trieu Tan confederation. The teams brought fierce competitions, showing the strength, flexibility and skillful rowing skills of coastal fishermen.
In the sound of drums urging and resounding cheers, the competing teams continuously chased, creating a dramatic, exciting, and colorful atmosphere of sea culture.
This is a unique cultural and sports activity of the Cau Ngu festival, contributing to preserving and promoting traditional values, while creating a highlight to attract tourists to Cua Lo during the holidays.
At the end of the tournament, Nghi Thuy team won the first prize; Second prize went to the Trung Thanh - Lam Thanh coalition; Third prize went to the Hai Giang 1 - Hai Giang 2 coalition and the Binh Quang - Trieu Tan coalition.
