Son La - The "Highland Colors" Exhibition will take place from May 8-10, 2026 in Moc Son ward, contributing to promoting culture, tourism and strengthening regional linkages.

Son La Provincial People's Committee has issued a Plan to host the "Highland Colors" Exhibition in 2026 according to Decision No. 977/QD-UBND.

The event is directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Son La province, expected to be held from May 8 to 10, 2026.

The exhibition aims to introduce and promote the potential for cultural, sports, and tourism development; honor, preserve and promote the cultural identity of highland ethnic groups. At the same time, raise awareness in implementing the Party's guidelines and resolutions on cultural development. This is also an opportunity to strengthen exchanges between localities, contributing to bringing the image of Son La closer to domestic and international tourists.

Within the framework of the exhibition, many activities will take place such as: photo exhibition "Beauty of the country - people of the highlands"; thematic exhibition "Colors of culture of ethnic groups in the highlands" with images and artifacts about life, customs, costumes, festivals, musical instruments and traditional crafts; recreating the characteristic market fair space.

The exhibition space of Son La, Lai Chau, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa provinces will introduce unique cultural features, scenic spots, OCOP products and typical cuisine.

In which, Son La focuses on promoting tourist attractions, focusing on Moc Chau National Tourist Area, along with products such as bamboo rice, grilled fish, grilled meat, and corn wine.

The highlight of the event is the opening ceremony on the evening of May 8; the folk dance club festival takes place on two days, May 9-10, with the participation of mass art teams; the closing and award ceremony on the evening of May 10.

The exhibition is expected to attract about 200 delegates and a large number of people and tourists, contributing to promoting the image and development of tourism, economy - society of the locality.
