Information from the Lao Cai Provincial Electronic Information Portal, in March and the first quarter of 2026, the socio-economic development situation of Ta Van commune, Lao Cai province continued to be stable; economic, cultural and social fields maintained development momentum; national defense and security were maintained.
Out of a total of 61 assigned targets, 52 targets reached and exceeded the progress, accounting for 85.24%; 6 targets reached over 80% and there are still 3 targets below 80%.
This result shows proactiveness in management right from the beginning of the year, when the commune government closely followed the direction of superiors, developed specific plans and strengthened actual inspections. In the first quarter, the commune organized 3 regular meetings, 8 thematic meetings and conducted 57 grassroots inspections to promptly remove difficulties.
The outstanding highlight is the tourism - service sector. In March, the commune welcomed over 24,000 visitors; accumulated in the first quarter reached 71,691 visitors, including 9,554 international visitors. Total revenue from tourism - services is estimated at more than 221.36 billion VND.
Accommodation and service activities continue to be stable with 144 accommodation establishments, 58 production - business establishments and 20 service establishments, creating jobs for about 650 local workers. This result shows that tourism is gradually becoming a pillar of local economic development.
Socio-economic infrastructure continues to be concerned with investment. Notably, 100% of villages in the area have grid electricity, the rate of households using hygienic water reaches 93%, contributing to improving the quality of life of people. Disbursement of public investment capital reached about 20% of the plan; budget revenue reached 1,957 billion VND (20% of the estimate), budget expenditure reached 32.423 billion VND (19% of the estimate).
The cultural and social field is maintained stably. The rate of people participating in health insurance reached 98%; in the quarter, 3,611 people were examined and treated. Education is ensured with the attendance rate at all levels above 95%.
Social security work was implemented promptly, with a total budget support for Tet of over 1.05 billion VND. At the same time, administrative reform and digital transformation continued to be promoted, with 100% of documents processed on the electronic environment and 99.2% of dossiers resolved on time.
Besides the achieved results, the locality still faces some shortcomings such as construction order violations, some water supply projects operating ineffectively, and environmental treatment at times not being timely.
In the coming time, Ta Van commune determines to continue to develop sustainable tourism associated with cultural preservation, improve the efficiency of agricultural production, accelerate disbursement of public investment and complete new rural criteria.
At the same time, the locality will strengthen land management, construction order, thoroughly handle environmental issues, continue administrative reform, improve the quality of health and education services and ensure social security.
With positive growth momentum right from the beginning of the year, Ta Van is gradually affirming a suitable direction in socio-economic development, contributing to the overall development of Lao Cai province.
