On June 30, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province said that it had just chaired the organization of an assessment of the implementation of the General Plan for the construction of Mui Ne National Tourist Area to 2040, with a vision to 2050 in the first 6 months of 2026.
According to the leader of Mui Ne Ward People's Committee (Lam Dong province), tourism activities in the area continue to recover and grow positively. In particular, the number of international visitors increased quite significantly compared to the same period, contributing to promoting trade, services, creating jobs and increasing income for local people.
In the first 6 months of the year, the total number of overnight visitors in Mui Ne reached more than 1.1 million. This is considered a positive sign for one of the key sea tourism centers of the province.
In parallel with tourism growth is urban embellishment, environmental sanitation, waste collection and landscape maintenance at key tourist destinations.

According to assessments, the implementation of the General Plan for the construction of Mui Ne National Tourist Area initially creates unity in investment orientation, development space management and attraction of social resources. Thereby, continuing to maintain the image of Mui Ne as a safe, friendly and attractive destination.
However, communes and wards in the Mui Ne National Tourist Area also pointed out many difficulties that need to be resolved soon. In which, resources for urban embellishment and promotion are still limited; traffic infrastructure and environmental sanitation have not met development requirements.
Some tourism projects are implemented slowly, and the efficiency of land use is not high. Some reflections on fraud and overcharging at business locations have also appeared on social networks, affecting the image of the destination.
To make Mui Ne a world-class destination, localities will focus on managing construction order, land use, improving the quality of the tourism environment, rectifying service business activities and promoting promotion and linkage for tourism development in the last 6 months of the year.

Mr. Vo Thanh Huy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, requested localities to proactively develop investment plans associated with public investment capital. Mui Ne ward alone needs to complete the handover of the Huynh Thuc Khang - Nguyen Dinh Chieu road project in early July to create a more open and modern appearance for the tourist area.
In addition, the Provincial Tourism Association is requested to coordinate with localities to strengthen marine environmental protection, manage service prices, build an image of a civilized, clean, friendly destination and ensure security and order, especially in the Mui Ne fishing village area.
With unique natural advantages and long-term planning orientation, Mui Ne is gradually perfecting the appearance of a modern and professional National Tourist Area.
