On March 26, Vietnam Railways Corporation coordinated with Hue City People's Committee to launch the new interface of the "Connecting Central Heritage" tourist train, and announced Hue Station as a tourist destination.
The opening event takes place on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of Hue City Liberation Day and 2 years of operating the train (March 26, 2024 - March 26, 2026).
According to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Railways Corporation, after 2 years of operation, the train has served more than 440,000 passengers, performed more than 2,800 safe train trips, linked with 140 tourism units in Hue and Da Nang.

Notably, the number of international visitors accounts for about 50-55% of the total number of passengers. This product was also honored in the "Top 9 impressive Hue tourism products in 2024".
The new interface includes 12 carriages, each carriage with 56 soft seats, 180-degree rotating seats, helping passengers conveniently admire the scenery. The 32-seat VIP carriage is designed in Hue royal style, combining a space to enjoy music and admire Hai Van Pass.
The community building is renewed with typical Central Vietnamese motifs such as Hue yin and yang tiles, Hoi An ancient town, lanterns, expressed through inlaid art.
Representatives of the railway industry expect that the upgrade of the train along with the recognition of Hue Station as a tourist destination will contribute to attracting tourists and promoting the development of Hue - Da Nang tourism.
