The first international passenger ship docks at Con Dao port in 2026

Ho Chi Minh City - This is the first international passenger ship in 2026 to dock, bringing 100 foreign tourists to visit and experience the Con Dao Special Zone.

On February 10, the luxury cruise ship Le Jacques Cartier (belonging to the ship company Compagnie du Ponant, French nationality) docked at Ben Dam port, bringing more than 100 international tourists and 100 crew members departing from Singapore to visit and explore Con Dao. This is the first international cruise ship to arrive in the Con Dao special zone (HCMC) in 2026.

The government of the Con Dao special zone and functional forces organized a solemn welcoming ceremony; quickly supported the necessary procedures for the crew and tourists, showing friendliness, professionalism, creating a good impression of a safe and hospitable destination for tourists from the first minutes of coming to Vietnam.

Tourists visit prominent destinations such as the system of historical sites, explore the natural beauty of Con Dao National Park, enjoy pristine beaches and experience local culinary culture. At 7 pm on the same day, the Le Jacques Cartier ship left Con Dao to take tourists to continue visiting and exploring in the center of Ho Chi Minh City.

During its voyage in Vietnam, the Le Jacques Cartier ship will take tourists to visit and explore other destinations in Quy Nhon, Da Nang, Chan May Bay, and Ha Long Bay.

In 2025, Con Dao welcomed more than 612,000 tourist arrivals, including about 25,600 international visitors.

The arrival of the international passenger ship Le Jacques Cartier right in the early days of 2026 is considered a promising start to a vibrant new year for the Con Dao tourism industry.
