On April 14, in Tay Ninh province, the 2026 Global Cities Tourism Promotion Conference organized by Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities (TPO) officially opened with the participation of more than 160 domestic and international delegates, focusing on discussing new tourism development trends associated with the specific advantages of each locality.
Speaking to welcome the conference, Mr. Pham Tan Hoa - Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee said that hosting the event is of great significance in strengthening connections and promoting tourism cooperation between Vietnamese localities and international partners in the context of deep integration. This is also an opportunity for Tay Ninh to promote its image and tourism potential to international friends.
The conference was attended by the TPO Secretariat, representatives of some localities from Korea, Malaysia and 13 provinces and cities in the country and many businesses operating in the tourism sector. With the theme "Sports tourism trend, health care tourism based on local characteristics", delegates focused on exchanging experiences, sharing sustainable tourism development models, and proposing solutions to improve product quality and experiences for tourists.
According to leaders of Tay Ninh province, the locality is orienting tourism development to become a key economic sector, associated with digital transformation, green development and preservation of traditional cultural values. In which, many unique products continue to be focused on investment such as spiritual tourism at Ba Den Mountain, ecotourism, resorts, sports tourism and health care tourism.
Through this conference, Tay Ninh province expects to expand its cooperation network with TPO members, attract more investment resources into tourism infrastructure and products, thereby contributing to improving the competitiveness of destinations, towards sustainable tourism development and international integration.
