Dien Bien These days, the Ha Nhi ethnic people in the far West of the Fatherland are bustling to celebrate the traditional New Year.

From December 12-15, Sin Thau commune, Dien Bien province will organize the traditional Ha Nhi ethnic festival in 2025 with a series of cultural and sports exchange activities.

According to tradition, the "Khu Su Cha" Tet usually takes place in the 12th lunar month every year. This is the time when the harvest has been harvested, summarizing the results after a year of labor and welcoming a new year.

In particular, this year's Ha Nhi Festival also had the participation of a delegation of the Party Committee, government and people of Khuc Thuy town (Giang Thanh district, Yunnan province, China) creating an atmosphere of solidarity and cohesion between the two localities sharing the Ha Nhi culture.

However, with sports activities, the traditional culinary competition attracted the participation of 21 teams from 21 villages in the commune.

The dishes are elaborately prepared, expressing the sophistication of Ha Nhi culinary culture through ingredients familiar with the border mountains and forests.

This is also an opportunity to honor the culinary values of the far western part of the Fatherland, and at the same time introduce to visitors the characteristics of the Tet holiday tray of the Ha Nhi people.

The highlight of the series of activities is the cultural and artistic exchange program taking place at the headquarters of Sin Thau commune.

14 unique singing and dancing performances, a harmonious combination between the host Sin Thau and guests from Khuc Thuy town, vividly recreated the vibrant Ha Nhi cultural space through the khen sound, dance, and brilliant costumes of spring.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Chairman of the People's Committee of Sin Thau commune: "The lyrics and dances in the program are " messengers" connecting friendship, carrying the thoughts and aspirations of the people of the two localities.

This is a meaningful activity to preserve and spread the cultural identity of Ha Nhi, while enhancing understanding and solidarity between Sin Thau commune and Khuc Thuy town.

The image of the solidarity roundabout spreads, as a strong affirmation of the strong friendship between Sin Thau commune (Vietnam) and Khuc Thuy town (China), opening a complete Ha Thuan New Year and hoping for a warm and happy new year in the homeland's border.

Sin Thau commune was established on the basis of merging Sin Thau, Sen Thuong and Leng Su Sin communes (belonging to the old Muong Nhe district). The commune has a natural area of 516.42 km2 and a population of about 6,058 people.
