The 9th Vietnam - Laos - China Throwing Festival in 2025 will be held from December 19-21, in Dien Bien Phu ward.
In addition to Dien Bien province, this year's festival has the participation of Lai Chau province; Phong-Sa-ly province (Laos); Giang Thanh district, Pu'er city, Yunnan province (China). It is expected to attract about 1,200 delegates, artisans, athletes and service forces.
The throwing festival also has the theme "Solidarity, friendship - Tham tinh bien gioi - Develop together" with activities: Opening ceremony; closing ceremony; space for displaying, introducing and promoting cultural and tourism products; organizing competitions in sports such as throwing con, pushing sticks, shooting from the crossbar, fighting, tug of war...
This is a 2-year periodic activity organized by border provinces of the three countries of Vietnam, Laos, and China.
The festival is also an opportunity to introduce the unique traditional cultural beauty of ethnic groups, promote tourism potential, and strengthen cooperation between local governments and people.
