In the Thanh Nha Ho heritage area - an outstanding UNESCO world heritage in Thanh Hoa, many cultural spaces have been built and put into operation, typically: "agricultural cultural space of Tay Do region" - a place to introduce traditional agricultural tools, recreating the rustic, diligent and creative life of local people.
Along with that are spaces for displaying outdoor artifacts, models of cannons, and stone walls, to connect archaeological artifacts with historical and cultural stories throughout the dynasties.
In addition, heritage education work is widely implemented through programs for students in Vinh Loc district. Thereby, contributing to fostering pride, awareness of preserving national cultural identity and arousing a sense of responsibility for heritage in the younger generation.
A highlight is the construction of electric vehicle tours connecting heritage with the buffer zone. There are currently 4 tour routes being exploited including: Route 1 - Thanh Nha Ho - Returning to the Heritage Area; Route 2 - Thanh Nha Ho - Traditional Villages; Route 3 - Thanh Nha Ho - Tam Linh buffer zone; Route 4 - Thanh Nha Ho - Monuments and landscapes of buffer zone.
These tours take visitors through religious works, craft villages, natural landscapes and historical relics - creating a vibrant cultural space, helping visitors feel the connection between the past and the present.
In parallel with conservation work, the Nha Ho City Heritage Conservation Center also focuses on improving the quality of human resources and tourism services, developing community tourism, preserving traditional craft villages, combining widespread promotion through communication and tourism linkage with localities with similar heritages.
Training and coaching classes for people in the buffer zone and those directly involved in tourism business are organized regularly, contributing to building a friendly, professional and hospitable image.
The center also actively implements regional linkage programs, cooperating with provinces such as Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh to promote tourism through experiential journeys such as "The Heritage Road of the Central region", "Journey through ancient Vietnamese capitals".
At the same time, continue to promote propaganda to the community to raise awareness of heritage conservation and civilized behavior towards tourists.
Creative innovations in promoting heritage values at Nha Ho Citadel are not only recognized by the community and tourists but also highly appreciated by UNESCO at annual meetings. This success is the foundation for the locality to continue developing more unique tourism products, making Thanh Nha Ho an important highlight on the national tourism map, making a practical contribution to the socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa in the new period.
In 2011, Thanh Nha Ho was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage, affirming its stature beyond Thanh Hoa and Vietnam provinces, becoming a common asset of humanity. To exploit and promote the unique value of this heritage, Thanh Hoa province and relevant agencies have focused on developing typical tourism products associated with culture, history and people.
