On September 2nd, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province said that the National Day holiday of September 2nd this year lasts 5 days, from August 29th to September 2nd. The weather is basically favorable, so the number of visitors to tourist areas and attractions in the area has increased.
According to statistics, during the 5-day holiday, the total number of tourists to Thanh Hoa is estimated at about 485,000, 3.6 times higher than the National Day holiday in September 2025. Of which, overnight visitors reached about 256,000.
Total revenue from tourism is estimated at about 873 billion VND, 3.5 times higher than the same period in 2025. Room occupancy rate in the area reached about 25%.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province, in the first two days of the holiday, the number of visitors at sea tourist destinations such as Sam Son, Hai Tien, and Hai Hoa was still quite sparse. However, in the following days, when the weather became sunny, the number of visitors increased again.
Previously, in order to attract tourists during the September 2nd National Day holiday, many localities in the province organized stimulus programs and piloted many new tourism products.
Including fishing experience activities with fishermen in Sam Son and Hai Tien; organizing pedestrian streets - night markets in Hai Hoa, Hai Tien and Sam Son; seafood market with the theme "One fair - Thousands of sea flavors" in Nam Sam Son.
In addition, many cultural, sports and tourism events take place at tourist areas such as the Kite Festival "Flying with the Sea Wind" in Sam Son; art nights with the participation of many singers at Hai Tien wharf with the theme "Chill by the Sea".
In particular, on the evening of September 1st, the fireworks display program to celebrate National Day September 2nd was held at Sam Son Sea Square and Lam Son Square, Hac Thanh ward, attracting many people and tourists.
