From January 10, in the North and the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue, the weather will be cold, especially in the mountainous and midland areas of the North; from the night of January 10-12, in the North and Thanh Hoa, the weather will be cold, especially in the mountainous areas. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North is generally 9-12 degrees, in the mountainous areas 6-9 degrees, in the high mountainous areas below 3 degrees; in the North Central region, it is generally 10-13 degrees; in the area from Quang Binh to Hue, it is generally 14-17 degrees.

Hanoi area is cold, from the night of January 10-12, it is very cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is commonly 9-12 degrees.

Gulf of Tonkin, sea area from Quang Tri to Binh Dinh, strong Northeast wind level 6-7, gust level 8-9, rough sea, waves from 2.0-5.5m high. North and Central East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago), sea area west of South East Sea area (including Truong Sa archipelago west of Truong Sa archipelago), sea area from Phu Yen to Binh Thuan, strong Northeast wind level 7, gust level 8-9, rough sea, waves from 4.0-6.0m high.

The sea area from Ba Ria-Vung Tau to Ca Mau has strong northeast wind level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9, rough sea, waves from 4.0-6.0m high.

Due to the influence of the cold air strengthening, the area from Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh will have rain, showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. There is a possibility of frost, ice and frost in the high mountains. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Localized heavy rains can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.

With these weather conditions, people and tourists coming to the Northern and Central regions should bring warm clothes and gear when going out, especially children. People from Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh should bring umbrellas and raincoats to guard against sudden weather changes.
