Railway route through flooded section in Hue, some trips are still suspended

Ninh Phương |

The railway line through flooded sections in Hue City has resumed operation, with trains initially operating at a speed of 5 km/h.

In the early morning of October 31, floodwaters have receded under the railway rock, the North-South railway line through Hue City has been restored.

After three days of interruption due to floods exceeding historical markers, the entire North-South railway line through Hue is basically smooth, except for trains SE5/6 and SE9/10 that have temporarily stopped operating due to the impact of the previous adjustment schedule.

The railway industry was forced to cancel more than 20 trains, transporting more than 4,000 passengers by road from Quang Tri station to Huong Thuy station and vice versa during the historic period of heavy rain and floods on rivers in the Central region.

If tickets for trains stop running according to the adjusted schedule due to the impact of floods, passengers can complete the procedure to return tickets without fees at the railway station. The time to return the ticket is no more than 30 days, calculated from the date of the train trip stated on the ticket.
