The highlight of this year's Festival is the rural markets, which recreate the folk cultural space associated with ethnic minorities in Quang Ninh province.
Visitors will enjoy performances such as: Xam singing, Cheo singing, and love songs from localities such as Ha Long, Mong Cai, Uong Bi, Dong Trieu, Dam Ha, and Binh Lieu.
Special folk games will be organized interspersed with women's soccer, stick pushing, bamboo dancing, stilt walking, sack jumping, blindfolded pot smashing...
These are regional activities, helping visitors discover the typical intangible cultural heritages of Quang Ninh and Vietnam.
The festival was held at Sun Carnival Plaza Square, Ha Long City, attracting the participation of 130 units from 32 provinces and cities across the country, representing the three regions of North - Central - South.
Quang Ninh province alone has 65 units registering nearly 130 booths, with the participation of 11/13 localities in the province.
At the culinary event, there will be performances of culinary arts and cocktail mixing by famous artists.
Quang Ninh Food Festival is not only a festival of local tourism but also an opportunity for chefs and businesses to exchange, learn and promote products.
The event is expected to attract about 200,000 - 300,000 visitors, especially international visitors, contributing to increasing the number of visitors during the low season and enhancing the image of Quang Ninh tourism.
