Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a list of projects to attract investment in the area in the period 2026 - 2030, with about 250 projects in many key areas.
In the seaport - logistics group, Ho Chi Minh City calls for investment in 6 projects including ports, international passenger ports, logistics centers... In which, the Vung Tau international passenger port project will contribute to maintaining the position of Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region on the regional cruise tourism map.
The Vung Tau international passenger port project is located in Vung Tau ward, with a scale of 73.24ha, including: Terminal area (passenger terminal, parking lot, internal traffic road system, green trees and technical infrastructure); wharf area with a 420m long wharf receiving passenger ships with a tonnage of up to 22.5 million GT; marina area with a capacity of about 280 yachts; approach bridge system, infrastructure serving the port, ship parking area and safety corridor water area; wharf connecting to the Vung Tau - Thi Vai maritime channel, area for organizing entertainment services on the sea to serve tourists... The total investment of the project is nearly 3,150 billion VND.
According to Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the city encourages investment in projects suitable to the direction and tasks of development to 2030, vision to 2045 according to the Politburo's Resolution. In which, priority is given to investing in high technology, innovation, digital economy, sharing economy, green economy, and circular economy.
Regarding services and tourism, Ho Chi Minh City prioritizes developing tourism associated with cultural and entertainment industries; high-class hotels; attracting the development of green, unique, attractive, inter-sectoral and inter-regional tourism; attracting synchronous tourism infrastructure investment... Thereby building high-quality commercial and tourism infrastructure, creating tourism products that increase regional linkages to meet the needs of domestic and foreign tourists, and are suitable for local identity, customs, and conditions.
