On the afternoon of March 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that in order to serve the entertainment needs of people and tourists during the April 30 - May 1 holiday and summer 2026, and at the same time, in response to the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh City officially named after President Ho Chi Minh, the city's tourism industry is implementing tourism stimulus programs in the area.
In which, the 22nd Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival in 2026 with the theme "Bustling summer returns" will take place on April 2-5 in Zone B, 23/9 Park. The festival gathers more than 120 booths from travel businesses, hotels, airlines and service providers at home and abroad with many products, services and preferential programs for the April 30 - May 1 holiday and summer tourist peak season.
Many travel businesses simultaneously launched price reductions and incentives of up to 5 million VND for domestic and international trips. 3-5-star hotels also implemented room discounts of 20 - 50% when customers book directly.
In addition, typical tourism products of the city are being implemented such as Binh Tay Market tour, touching on old traces; Tan Dinh Imprint tour; Ho Chi Minh City viewing tour from above by helicopter; series of "Journey to connect with flavors" tours with 15 tourism programs spread across the city...

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in the current context, Ho Chi Minh City tourism businesses are implementing solutions that do not reduce prices on a large scale but restructure products. Instead of competing with low prices, businesses optimize the entire product package from services, journeys to accompanying experience chains, aiming to create differentiated values to attract tourists.
Units also promote the exploitation of domestic road tours or nearby destinations to optimize costs, deploy diverse types of experiences such as free walking tours, combined with bicycles, metro; prioritize booking early air tickets for summer...
In the coming time, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism will continue to closely monitor service prices, ensuring that there is no situation of unreasonable price increases during the holidays. At the same time, continue to strengthen the review and inspection of compliance with legal regulations at tourism establishments, especially focusing on publicly listing prices and selling at listed prices.
