On August 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism held a conference to deploy a plan to stimulate and attract tourists to the city in 2025. The program focuses on synchronous and creative solutions to promote the value and appeal of Ho Chi Minh City as a leading cultural, culinary, resort and experience destination in Vietnam.
This is also an activity to effectively implement the visa exemption policy for citizens of 12 European countries. At the same time, realizing the goal of welcoming 10 million international visitors, 50 million domestic visitors and achieving a total revenue of VND 290,000 billion in 2025 of the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism emphasized that the city is promoting the application of technology and digital transformation to create different and new experiences for tourists.
At the same time, continue to coordinate with the business community and technology platforms to form a convenient and rich service ecosystem, making the journey to explore Ho Chi Minh City easy but still bearing its own mark.
Also at the conference, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced a cooperation program with Traveloka Vietnam Co., Ltd. From now until the end of 2025, this OTA platform will launch a campaign to promote Ho Chi Minh City destinations on a digital platform and offer an incentive package worth more than 4 billion VND e-voucher for tourists when booking air tickets and hotel rooms in the city.
At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry promotes the unique culinary values of the locality through cooperation with leading technology platforms.
Notably, it signed with Foody Joint Stock Company (the operator of ShopeeFood) to implement the Culinary Passport program. This is a smart interactive tool, making it easy for visitors to explore and check-in on a unique culinary journey.

The city's tourism industry also coordinates with travel agencies to build and announce thematic culinary tours, introduce traditional dishes, specialty restaurants and new culinary experiences.
In 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Food Handbook will be reprinted in print and electronic form, adding many addresses and typical dishes in new wards and communes. The simultaneous launch of the Culinary Passport, Experience Tour and Culinary Handbook will bring visitors a colorful journey to explore, contributing to positioning Ho Chi Minh City as the leading culinary paradise in Vietnam.
A series of tourism stimulus programs by the end of 2025, are expected to make Ho Chi Minh City a vibrant, open and creative destination, with the message Find your vibes - Find the right quality, touch the right feel.
