Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Hoan Kiem District People's Committee Pham Tuan Long said: "With a creative spirit, especially innovations in the use of raw materials on the platform of traditional technical materials, artisans have created attractive products with high quality".
Mr. Pham Tuan Long expressed his wish to continue receiving attention from experts and scientists in the field of intangible cultural heritage conservation, helping the capital Hanoi and Hoan Kiem district preserve and promote the quintessence of traditional culture.
Representative of Chuyen My boy dressing village (Phu Xuyen district), artisan Nguyen Dac Luyen shared: "After nearly 1,000 years of formation and development, Chuyen My boy dressing village is still maintaining and developing the traditional craft of our ancestors, creating jobs for thousands of workers in neighboring communes.
Currently, the craft village still maintains traditional production activities. Many young artisans are taking over the family business, bringing new creations, meeting the increasingly diverse needs of the market".


The series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South in Hanoi's Old Quarter includes: Exhibition of bamboo and rattan weaving with the theme "Made of Tre" (from April 11 to 28) and Exhibition of artistic installation works about Hang Bac craft town (from April 29 to June 1) at Kim Ngan Communal House (42, 44 Hang Bac).
Visitors have the opportunity to learn about products at the Exhibition introducing the American handsome craft and organize handsome experience workshops (from April 18 to May 22) at the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu).
