To spread the spirit of patriotism on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) has directed social networking platforms and gaming enterprises in Vietnam to simultaneously launch a communication campaign "Proud of Vietnam - Red dyeing cyberspace" with many meaningful activities, contributing to arousing national pride in cyberspace.
The campaign takes place from August 25 to September 3, 2025, with the highlight being the image of the red flag with a yellow star and historical and cultural symbols of the nation spread on cyberspace in Vietnam and many countries around the world.
On the Zalo platform, two main activities will be implemented: Update the personal page interface with a strong color for big holidays; Launch an AI representative image with the national flag symbol and images reminiscent of the spirit of independence and freedom.
In addition, the campaign is also expanding on ecosystem platforms including Zing MP3: launching playlists with the theme of Fatherland - People - Revolution, attaching a special symbol of National Day 2.9 on the homepage, creating a strong spread effect; Zalo Video: promoting livestream events to celebrate National Day.
At the same time, suggest a series of videos on the theme of September 2 such as interviews with characters, art programs, and celebration activities in the locality. It is expected that the Campaign will reach 30-40 million accounts on Zalo and on Zalo ecosystem applications.
At the same time, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information has mobilized and called on about 30 leading game manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam to participate in the campaign on a large scale by dyeing 150 to 200 games released globally, notably games such as: Screwdom, Bus Out, Cookingdom, Dreamy room, Goods Puzzle: Sort Challenge, Galaxiga: Space Arcade Shooter, Survivor Kingdoms...
These games all have images of the Vietnamese flag on the application icon, on the map, items, and events in the game. It is expected that about 100 million players in Vietnam and around the world will have access to this campaign.
Mr. Le Quang Tu Do, Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, shared that this is the first time Zalo and Vietnamese game companies have unanimously launched a large-scale, unified activity to celebrate National Day 2.9, not only in Vietnam but also spreading the national flag globally.
This campaign will bring an interesting experience to users and gamers, while contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam to international friends creatively and closely, a vivid demonstration of the spirit of solidarity, cooperation between technology platforms, entertainment businesses and users, aiming to build a healthy cyberspace rich in humanistic values.
The "Proud of Vietnam - Dyeing the Red Sea of cyberspace" campaign affirms the power of digital space in arousing patriotism, honoring national historical and cultural values, spreading gratitude and national pride, while tightening the spirit of community solidarity, especially among young people - the core force of the Vietnamese digital era.
In addition, on this occasion, at the request of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, Google Play has also responded and implemented the celebration of National Day September 2 with the "Made in Vietnam" Collection.
Accordingly, the "Made in Vietnam" Collection is prioritized to display an introduction on the Google Play Games homepage, including classic games that remind traditional Vietnamese culture, produced and published by large Vietnamese enterprises. The Collection aims to honor Vietnam's special talents in the field of game development and help them reach a variety of players in Vietnam and around the world.
This initiative demonstrates the support from the government and affirms Google's commitment to empowering creators, while making Vietnam one of the leading countries in the global digital economy.
