Within the framework of the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival 2026, the luminous kite performance program called "Sea Light Gala - Thousands of stars touching memories" promises to bring a different viewing space for people and tourists.
On evenings from July 24 to 26, when the sunset falls, the Da Nang beach area will become busier with the appearance of nearly 500 glowing kites. These kites will be simultaneously released into the sky, forming soft mobile rays of light following the sea breeze.
Instead of the usual high-tech lighting performances, the organizers chose to combine traditional kite images with modern lighting technology. The movement of hundreds of bright spots on the night sky near the coast is expected to bring a light and relaxing visual art experience for viewers.
Not only stopping at a simple light performance, the program also wants to create a generation-connecting space where each person can find a part of their childhood memories.
The image of kites flying on the windy beach is familiar to many generations of Vietnamese people. At this event, that memory is vividly recreated thanks to the support of light and music. Viewers can leisurely stroll, admire the brilliant night sky and listen to the murmuring sound of sea waves.
Besides kite flying activities, the event space also arranges rustic experience areas. Visitors can stop by warm charcoal stoves, enjoy the simple taste of grilled sweet potatoes and grilled corn - dishes associated with peaceful summer afternoons. A glass of cool water, a small chat with relatives or simply a quiet moment watching the sky will be complete pieces for the journey to find memories.
Representatives of the organizing committee shared that, besides large-scale real-scene stages telling about the city's cultural flow, highly interactive events such as light night parties are opportunities for each tourist to create their own story and meaningful personal experiences when coming to Da Nang. The city's orientation in this year's tourist season is not only to create check-in points, but also to focus on improving the quality of experience, helping tourists truly immerse themselves in the local cultural space.
