Willing to spend money on trips rich in experience
No longer putting the resort factor first, many young people today are willing to spend more to exchange for trips with new experiences.
Instead of just visiting famous destinations, they prioritize journeys that combine nature exploration, outdoor activities and activities that help connect with friends and relatives.
As a person who loves experiential and discovery tourism, Ms. Nguyen Minh Anh (26 years old, Hanoi) said that she spends time on 3-4 short trips each year. Instead of choosing traditional resort tours, Minh Anh prioritizes journeys with trekking, SUP rowing or cloud hunting.
After a period of hard work and stress, I want the trip to be truly different, to be more active and explorer, not just staying in a hotel," Ms. Minh Anh shared.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Duc Huy (28 years old, Hanoi) said that he is willing to spend more money if the tour has many experiential activities.
''Journeys combined with SUP rowing, diving, yachting or exploring local culture bring more memories than tours I only visit on a fixed itinerary. This trend is suitable for people who like movement like me,'' Mr. Huy said.
As for Le Thu Trang (25 years old, Hanoi), the time factor is the reason why she often chooses tours from 2 - 4 days on weekends.
I don't have many long holidays, so I often choose short tours but with diverse schedules. Just a few days but experiencing many activities, I find the trip very worthwhile," Ms. Trang said.
Real-world experience is a factor attracting young customers
According to Ms. Luu Thuy Dung - Deputy Director of Vietravel Retail Center in the North, the travel trend of young people is changing a lot. Instead of just looking for simple vacations, many people prioritize experiential trips, allowing them to directly participate in discovery and movement activities.
Currently, young customers are often interested in experiential tourism products such as trekking, SUP paddleboarding, cloud hunting, pickleball or sea and island exploration programs combined with real-life activities. This trend makes travel more attractive and meets the need for health training combined with rest," Ms. Luu Thuy Dung said.

According to Ms. Dung, the travel demand of young people has not decreased, but the time allocated for trips is quite limited. Therefore, short-day tours lasting from 2 to 4 days, especially on weekends, are becoming a popular choice.
Young tourists are not lacking in travel needs but are lacking in time due to busy life. Short journeys but still bringing many experiences are the most concerned trend today," Ms. Luu Thuy Dung said.
Ms. Luu Thuy Dung emphasized that in the summer, sea and island tours combined with resorts still maintain great attraction, destinations such as Da Nang, Hoi An, Nha Trang or Ha Long are always in the group of products most chosen by young customers.
