On August 12, Tu Le Commune People's Committee issued a plan to organize the "Flying on the Golden Season of Tu Le" Paragliding Festival in 2026 to promote tourism, culture and natural landscape potential; and create more unique tourism products, contributing to attracting tourists and promoting socio-economic development in the area.
According to the plan, the Festival will take place from August 30 to September 30. The opening ceremony will be held at 8:00 AM on August 30 at the parachute landing yard of Lim Thai village, Tu Le commune, Lao Cai province.
Within the framework of the Festival, visitors will enjoy paragliding performances by professional pilots, participate in experiential flights to admire the panoramic view of Tu Le valley during the ripe rice season.
Besides, there are tours combining terraced field check-in, exploring the life and traditional culture of the Thai and H'Mong ethnic groups.
According to the People's Committee of Tu Le commune, the Festival is expected to become a typical tourism product of the locality, contributing to bringing Tu Le's image closer to domestic and international tourists.
The combination of extreme sports, natural landscapes and cultural identity is expected to create a unique mark for the destination, while opening up opportunities to attract investment in the fields of services, accommodation and community tourism.

To ensure the Festival takes place safely and effectively, the locality requests agencies and units to closely coordinate in organization; strengthen ensuring security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation and safety for take-off and landing operations.
Functional forces will develop rescue and relief plans, arrange on-duty medical forces and be ready to handle situations arising during the event.
For paragliding specialized units, Tu Le Commune People's Committee requests strict inspection of weather conditions, flight equipment and protective equipment; arrange qualified pilots, rescue forces, and medical staff in the take-off and landing area; develop an incident handling plan, and fully implement regulations on insurance for athletes and participants.
The "Flying on the Golden Season of Tu Le" paragliding festival in 2026 is not only a sports - tourism activity but also an opportunity to promote the beauty of the golden season on terraced fields, introduce the cultural identity of ethnic groups and the potential for community tourism development of Tu Le.
