Returning to Vietnam after 8 years, the most successful string quartet of all time - Bond shared that the group always remembers the warm people, beautiful scenery and diverse delicious food.
Tania Davis (violin) added: “I love the vibrancy of Vietnam, the friendliness of the people and of course the amazing food! We have performed in Vietnam a few times before and it is great to perform in front of such a passionate audience. It really makes the shows special for us.
On this trip, we will definitely visit a beautiful place in Vietnam, which the whole group really wants to experience because it is a world famous place and looks very beautiful. I really want to come to Vietnam to relax and travel around to experience this country more.
Member Elspeth Hanson (viola) said that the group had wonderful experiences from previous visits to Vietnam, so this time, the members of Bond just hope to continue to have the same feelings as before.
“We are lucky to be able to see a little more because we are going to Hanoi,” she shared.
Gay-Yee Westerhoff (cello) said that after the official performance on October 5 in Hanoi, she will definitely enjoy some Vietnamese food because she "really likes pho and banh mi".
In particular, what fans could not have expected in Bond's show in Hanoi this time was that the group would wear Vietnamese costumes on stage - a rare thing for artists and bands with global influence when performing in a show that is not within the scope of a diplomatic event.
“We are honored to wear Vietnamese costumes because they are very elegant and beautiful. We hope to be able to perform in them but need our arms and shoulders to be comfortable to play the music,” said Eos Counsell.
Famous for her sexy dresses on stage, Bond playing live music in a modest Vietnamese ao dai will certainly be an interesting experience for thousands of audiences on the capital's stage.
Not only is it a bridge to bring world-class music to domestic audiences, the organizers of “Good Morning Vietnam” also want to connect international artists with local culture to spread the image of Vietnam to the world through music, true to the meaning of the group's name.
Combining classical music with electronic instruments, mixed with many different musical genres has made Bond's music unique.
With over 5 million records sold worldwide, Bond remains the world's best-selling string quartet. More than two decades after their debut, Bond remains faithful to their sexy and fiery performance style.
The famous string quartet Bond will come to Vietnam to perform on the evening of October 5 at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, in the program "Bond Live in Vietnam" organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with IB Group Vietnam.
