The Culture, Sports and Tourism Week (VHTTDL) welcomes Ok Om Bok Festival 2025 with the theme "Explore and experience the national intangible cultural heritage Ok Om Bok Festival" taking place from October 30 to November 5.
The activities spread across the old Tra Vinh Provincial Cultural Center, Nguyet Hoa Ward Square, Ao Ba Om Relic Site and Khmer Ethnic Culture Museum.
The opening ceremony took place at 8:00 p.m. on October 30 at the old Tra Vinh Provincial Cultural Center, opening a series of events lasting 7 days.
In particular, the highlight of the festival is the Vinh Long Province Ngo Boat Race, taking place on November 3 and 4 on the Long Binh River. This is a traditional sport with a strong Khmer identity, attracting thousands of people and tourists to cheer every year.
In addition, many other attractive activities such as the Southern Food and Trade Promotion Fair, the tourism exhibition "Vinh Long - convergence Land", and traditional Khmer costumes and crafts are also organized throughout.
Sports tournaments such as motorbikes, Khmer youth volleyball, stick pushing, tug of war, and exercise contribute to creating a bustling and exciting atmosphere.
On the night of November 5, the Lunar Worship and Flower Lantern release ceremony at Ao Ba Om will close the week with a sacred and magical space, honoring the spiritual and cultural beauty of the Khmer people in the South.
Ok Om Bok Culture, Sports and Tourism Week 2025 is an opportunity to honor, preserve and promote traditional cultural values, while contributing to promoting the tourism image of Vinh Long and the Southern region to domestic and foreign friends.
