On February 16 (29th Lunar New Year), coastal localities in eastern Ho Chi Minh City (Vung Tau area) completed urban embellishment, preparing to welcome a high number of tourists during the 2026 Lunar New Year.
In Vung Tau, many central roads, Bai Truoc and Bai Sau areas have been cleaned up, completed decoration, arranged large landscapes, small landscapes, and fresh flowers in parks and public areas... Familiar attractions such as the King Christ Statue, the Lighthouse (on the top of Small Mountain), and Bach Dinh have also completed decoration, arranged forces to guide and regulate visitors.
Vung Tau Ward People's Committee said that the locality has developed a plan to reduce congestion and ensure safety for tourists coming to celebrate spring. In addition to arranging functional forces to strengthen patrols, ensure security and order, traffic safety and fire and explosion prevention.
The locality also reorganized traffic on some roads, arranged parking lots... as well as paid special attention to controlling the price of accommodation, food, food safety... services in the area. Rescue forces at the beaches are on duty throughout, fully equipped to be ready to support beachgoers when necessary.

Other coastal areas from Long Hai to Xuyen Moc, Binh Chau have also completed the preparation for Tet. Coastal accommodation and resorts have embellished the landscape, decorated the Tet space, and launched resort packages to serve tourists at the beginning of the year.
This year, the eastern area of Ho Chi Minh City is forecast to welcome a high number of tourists, as many establishments have received quite high pre-booked rooms for the days from the 2nd to the 5th day of Tet. On the last day of the year, there are also quite a few customers contacting to book rooms for spring travel and resorts.
From mid-December, the number of hotel room bookings has started to gradually increase. This year, many customers book rooms early and for many days. The hotel has proactively arranged personnel and activities to serve tourists well during the Tet holiday," said a representative of Ibis Styles Hotel in Vung Tau.
