About 100km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau has a mild climate, beautiful beaches and endless sandy beaches, which has become a familiar destination attracting a large number of tourists to travel and relax. Recently, the potentials of Vung Tau have been further promoted and developed, through a series of key projects, connecting transport projects, and symbolic works that have been and are being implemented.
Previously, National Highway 51 was considered the only road from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau with a travel time of more than 2 hours. However, the exploitation of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway increased the connecting route, shortening the travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau to just over 1 hour.
The Long Thanh International Airport project is expected to operate phase 1 in the near future, expanding the opportunity to welcome international tourists to Vung Tau for relaxation and sightseeing. At the same time, the coastal road is being implemented; the sea bridge connecting Vung Tau - Can Gio is being studied... promising to form a complete transportation network connecting to Vung Tau.

Besides the transport infrastructure being strongly invested in, Vung Tau has just added symbolic works and new experience spaces to attract tourists.
That is the project to renovate Thuy Van road with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND that has just been completed, serving tourists during the 2026 Lunar New Year. In addition to the park about 3.2 km long along the beach creating an open space facing the sea, there are also symbolic works of Tam Thang Tower; a bronze giant fish statue over 8m high and a fountain... are new symbols, attracting a large number of people and tourists to visit and check in.
Or the Sun World Vung Tau Water Park project on an area of 15ha, the largest scale in the Southeast region, went into operation, creating more entertainment and experience destinations for tourists when coming to the Vung Tau area.
In the near future, the Vung Tau area will develop even more strongly with the role of sea-facing gateway of Ho Chi Minh City with the advantage of inter-regional infrastructure connection, new symbolic works and marine economic development planning. Opening up opportunities to develop the locality into a high-quality, international-class resort tourism center in the coming time.
