China - Public opinion is outraged by the case of a tour guide (HDV) asking tourists to leave their vehicles if they do not want to spend money to shop - despite the snowfall outdoors.

MSNews reported a controversial incident in China, when a tour guide threatened to abandon a group of tourists in cold weather after they refused to spend money to shop during the tour.

The incident occurred in February 2025, during a three-day tour departing from Chengdu.

A group of more than 20 tourists, including children and the elderly, were on their way to the famous Jiuzhaigou - Huanglong tourist area.

On the first day of the trip, the tour guide showed an uncomfortable attitude when he noticed that some tourists did not buy anything from the stores that the group had just visited.

She warned that there would be a " problem" if they continued not to spend in the coming days.

On February 5, when the tour was almost over, the tension reached its peak.

Because he refused to spend much money on shopping, the tour guide asked a tourist to leave the bus in the thick snow, with temperatures dropping to -13 degrees Celsius.

Mr. Vuong - a tourist asked to leave the car and ask the other people in the group if they felt forced to shop to stay on the tour, many agreed that they really felt pressured.

The controversy arose, the female tour guide flatly called Mr. Vuong a "bad guy" and asked Mr. Vuong to sign an agreement to leave the tour.

The bus was believed to have stopped on the side of the road for more than 20 minutes before the video was filmed.

Although Mr. Vuong did not have to leave the car in the end, this situation sparked outrage in the online community.

After this event spread widely on social networks, the authorities took action.

According to the initial investigation, tour guides have continuously put pressure on tourists to buy expensive silver and pearl products throughout their trip.

On the day of the incident, the bus stopped off schedule for 25 minutes on the morning of February 5, before continuing to move to a jewelry trading location with prices ranging from 100 to 30,000 yuan (about 350 thousand VND to 10.5 million VND).

However, none of the group of customers bought the goods.

The day before (February 4), a group of tourists spent a total of 980 yuan (nearly 3.5 million VND) at a silver jewelry store.

However, the female tour guide was still not satisfied.

The authorities are committed to conducting a comprehensive investigation of related individuals and organizations, strictly handling any wrongdoings under the law.
