On the morning of January 5, in Tri Ton district (An Giang province), the 2025 Marathon "To the legendary land" Tri Ton took place with the participation of about 3,000 athletes from many provinces and cities across the country and internationally. The race has 3 distances: 5km, 10km and 21km.

The race track is designed for athletes to run through famous landmarks in the legendary land as well as have the opportunity to capture the typical images of Tri Ton, a land with many landmarks and scenic spots containing many legends about the history of formation and development with the diversity and blending of the cultures of the three ethnic groups Kinh, Hoa, and Khmer.

As the first large-scale race held in Tri Ton, the 2025 Tri Ton Marathon “To the Legendary Land” attracted a large number of athletes to participate. Thereby, it not only spreads the spirit of health training in the community but also contributes to promoting indigenous tourism, natural landscapes and cultural values of Tri Ton land.

Speaking at the award ceremony and closing ceremony, Mr. Tran Minh Giang - Vice Chairman of Tri Ton District People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the race - shared: "The 2025 Tri Ton Marathon "Returning to the legendary land" has connected and spread the love for marathon, stimulated and inspired people to practice sports; at the same time, it was successful when the image of Tri Ton was strongly spread through many athletes and tourists...".

Many runners participating in the race expressed their impression of the running route in Tri Ton. The race course combines road and trail, winding through bustling residential areas, vast fields, fruit-laden gardens and mountain trails that contain many colorful and legendary stories.
As a result, the first prize in the 5km distance went to Nguyen Trung Hieu (male) and Le Phuong (female). The first prize in the 10km distance went to Mao Quoc Tien (male) and Nguyen Thi Thuong (female). The first prize in the 21km distance went to Le Tan Hi (male) and Doan Thi Hien (female).
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes in many different age groups.
